IL PERCORSO NATURALISTICO E GLI ANIMALI DEL BOSCO
Questo sentiero fa parte di una complessa rete di sentieri color ocra che si irradiano verso est e ovest fuori dal centro abitato. I sentieri seguono i corsi d'acqua su entrambi i lati del centro abitato, attraversando piccole foreste e attraversando terreni agricoli e pascoli. I sentieri sono vari e quasi mai utilizzati dagli abitanti di Piansano. Sono percorsi storici che collegano luoghi di lavoro, di allevamento e di approvvigionamento idrico. Questo sentiero è una mulattiera storica che costeggia il cosiddetto "ruscello delle Streghe" ed è ben noto agli agricoltori e agli allevatori locali, che lo percorrono a piedi o, se fortunati, con un animale da soma. Molti abitanti del posto lo ricordano anche come un luogo di gioco dove bambini e adolescenti venivano salvati dai bombardamenti durante la guerra. Il primo tratto del sentiero è circondato da vegetazione boschiva, che mostra come gli abitanti del posto fossero soliti piantare specie arboree che in seguito hanno colonizzato quest'area, in parte antropizzata: si possono trovare querce, robinie e sambuco. Se invece si prosegue salendo per un lungo e stretto sentiero che costeggia il torrente, si raggiunge un ambiente più naturale, dove si vede un bosco di latifoglie di 1,5 ettari, dove si trovano roverelle, cerri, carpini, castagno comune, ciavardello e pioppi. Questa foresta ricorda per lo più la copertura arborea originale.
